摘要
A novel 2-stroke opposed piston cam-plate(2S-OPCP) engine was proposed. The opposed pistons are driven by two dynamic cam plates, instead of crank mechanism, which contributes to various advantages such as higher power density, smaller size and less complicated structure. There is a phase difference between these two cam plates, which is called cam relative angle θ. Piston movements in both sides are directly determined by this angle, thus affecting the compression ratio and valve timing, eventually the engine performance. Taking the structure characteristic and working process of 2S-OPCP into consideration,a one-dimensional simulation model was established, and the cylinder pressure curve was calibrated against experimental data. A comprehensive research was conducted to probe into the effects of θ on the scavenging process and engine performance. By adjusting θ,better engine performances can be achieved in various working conditions. As θ is increased from 0° to 10°,the scavenging process is ameliorated with a 3.5% increase of the air delivery ratio at θ=7°. Meanwhile, the indicated specific fuel consumption(ISFC) increases after the phase point of θ=4°,and 3.5% higher ISFC is exhibited at θ=10°. The indicated mean effective pressure(IMEP) is increased by 3.3% at θ=4°,then decreased.
