N2 - Solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) is a clean energy conversion technology which features in high energy density and high efficiency. These features make SOFC a potential candidate in mobile and portable power applications, such as remote power, auxiliary power, individual power, and etc. Research on system control strategies will promote the realization and application of portable SOFC systems. In this paper, the main components and working principle of a portable SOFC system were introduced at first. Then, the research on dynamic characteristics, control requirements, control strategies and control algorithms of portable SOFC systems were summarized and reviewed. Finally, some suggestions were proposed for the future development of the portable SOFC system control strategy.
