Abstract
The ultraviolet (UV) absorption spectrum, UV photoinduced changes in refractive-index, and the methods to improve the photosensitivity of optical fiber were discussed. Besides, the reasons for the photoinduced changes in the refractive index were also briefly explained based on the investigation results available in the literature.
