Abstract

For the three-dimensional reconstruction of cultural relics, a kind of three-dimensional reconstruction technology was proposed based on Cartesian grid. The reconstruction technology adopted the hexahedron grid as the basic unit, then calculated solid models contour lines layer by layer and made use of the scanning line filling algorithm of computer graphics to reconstruction the three-dimensional imaging. Meanwhile, the public surfaces of grid elements were removed in the drawing process to implement quick blanking display of meshes and beautiful effect, and it also would reduce the computation time and storage space. The feasibility of the technology was verified through the numerical simulation of drum stool and rattan vase.
