Abstract

Based on the orthogonal test method, the influences of some key engine-related factors on the cylinder head temperature field were studied. Firstly, the finite element model of a cylinder head was established, taking the maximum temperature of the cylinder head as an object of study. Then, using orthogonal experimental design method, a 16 groups calculation scheme was designed and the temperature field of the cylinder head was simulated. Finally, the test results were analyzed through the calculation of extreme difference and variance. The results show that in relation to the temperature of fire deck (C) and cooling water temperature (A), the heat transfer coefficient of fire deck surface (D) and the heat transfer coefficient of cooling water (B) have greater impacts on the cylinder head temperature field. Additionally, a better experimental combination scheme A1B4C1D1 can be gained, verifying that its temperature field is superior to that of other combinations.
