Abstract

Aim To discuss the psychological effect of material and thus provide better service for designing. Methods From the viewpoint of customer, the relationship between features of material and people's physiolosy and psychology were studied. Results As a specific medium of human emotions, material itself also implies the emotional information which is closely related with the psychology of human. Product design materials is the physical basis of product. It has not only the functional characteristics of material, but also the specific texture and emotion. Conclusion Proper use of the feeling feature of the material will bring fresh ideas and new characteristics to product designing.
