Abstract

The exploration of asteroid is coming to be a popular topic in deep space exploration. The surface dynamics of asteroids is fundamental to the sampling and surface exploration of asteroids. However, surface dynamics of asteroids is still a difficult problem for us. This paper aims at the dynamical environment analysis for motion trend and static analysis of surface particles for asteroids. Asteroid 2016 HO3 is selected as the target to do the numerical research. The characteristics of dynamical environment on the surface of 2016 HO3 are given. Based on those characteristics, some unprecedented difficulties and challenges of China’s future sample-return mission for 2016 HO3 are also illustrated.
