Abstract
A heterometallic triple-chain complex [CuTb 2(mal) 4(H 2O) 6]·2H 2O (CuTb 2, H 2mal = d-malic acid) and its isomorphous CuY 2 and ZnTb 2 have been prepared and characterized, whose magnetic properties are studied by comparison with its analogues. The results indicate that the Cu⋯Tb interactions in CuTb 2 are antiferromagnetic.
