Abstract

To realize the characteristics of 'Immersion', 'Interaction' and 'Imagination' for a virtual reality system, the key factor is to implement the multi-dimensional input and output. As well as to implement the natural interaction between human and the virtual world. Among the elements that affect the feeling of immersion, graphically oriented human-computer-interface plays the most important role. Because of the difference among various persons, different users of virtual reality system will have different feelings when interacting with the virtual world. It makes hard to realize immersion and adaptation when the users are more. The human factor in virtual reality is discussed and suggestions on the improvements of certain human computer interaction devices are presented in this paper.
