Abstract

It has become a key problem in the design process of compressor load maximization design that how to organize and control corner flow in the premise of that the continuous improvement of compressor load ability leads to corner flow more complicatedly and separation more easily. Firstly the article determined the better performance of the center difference and SST turbulence model combination simulation of a centrifugal impeller with high pressure ratio in the basis of carrying out different numerical comparison and analysis. And then the conventional engineering fillets and several kinds of blended blade and endwalls were used to redesign the impeller. It has found that conventional engineering fillet could deteriorate the performance of the impeller and BBEW could improve the adiabatic efficiency nearly 0.4%. Finally, the article analysis and compares the scheme of the flow field details.
