Abstract

The ultraviolet absorption standard curve of DMSO/H2O solution was established by quantitative analysis with ultraviolet spectrophotometry and the transfer speed of DMSO from PVA/DMSO/H2O gel when the gel was dipped in distilled water studied. The weight and volume stability of PVA/DMSO/H2O gel were observed when it was dipped in water and made a brine for a long time. The results indicated that the transfer speed of DMSO from PVA/DMSO/H2O gel was very high. 80% of DMSO transferred out in four days and the transferring balance has been established by the fourth day. The weight and volume of PVA/DMSO/H2O gel both increased quickly at the beginning and decreased slowly after reaching the peak. They both reached the balance at last.
