Abstract

Spatial resolution enhancement technique has been ubiquitously applied on microwave remote sensing. In this paper, the Gaussian filtering technique has been applied to denoise the antenna measurement image captured by microwave radiometer imager (MWRI) of FY-3 Satellite. The method consists of a low-pass denoise filter and a high-frequency emphasis filter, combined as a cascade structure, which maintains the gradient information while eliminating noise. Results show that the standard deviation of reconstructed image gets improved when addressed, and the improvement performs more obviously under the addictive noise with larger standard deviation.
