Abstract

The method of restraining torque ripple of direct torque control (DTC) for permanent magnetic synchronous motor (PMSM) is studied in the paper. The method of twenty four space voltage vectors subdivision of space voltage vector and seventh order hysteresis based on the principles of voltage space vector method and hysteresis comparator are presented to resolve the torque ripple problem of PMSM DTC strategy. A new model of PMSM DTC system is built in Matlab/Simulink to implement the method. The simulation results demonstrate the feasibility of the method to reduce torque ripple of PMSM DTC.
