Abstract

The paper introduced the method to calculate the working process in the cylinder of internal combustion engine. Based on the theory of thermodynamics cycle of internal-combustion engine, a program to simulate the working process of internal combustion engines was developed, and steady simulation was completed when the 4102 diesel ran under normal cycle. The results were obtained and compared with the experimental data, so the program was proved to be feasible. Then the program was modified to simulate the stead-y working process when the diesel ran in closed cycle. The parameters of these two statuses were compared and a conclusion was drawn that the content of carbon dioxide played an important role in the working process of closed circle diesel engine.
