Abstract

Dynamic response of screw joint structures in penetrator subjected to impact during projectile penetration is analyzed by using the finite element method. ANSYS/LS-DYNA is used to numerically simulate the screw joint structures subjected to a normal impact. The axial stress and transverse stress of the structure are obtained, and also the impact force of screw and the additional overload due to the collision between threads are obtained. The stress transmission process of the screw joint structure subjected to dynamic impact during penetration is realized by the simulation analysis.
