Abstract

In this paper, we derive the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems in the presence of frequency offset and channel estimation errors. The channel is assumed to be frequency-selective Rayleigh fading. Our analysis of the demodulated signal shows that the interference can be decomposed into two independent components: Inter-Carrier Interference and interference contributed by other transmit antennas. The SINR for MIMO-OFDM systems with equal gain combining (EGC) and maximal ratio combining (MRC) are also derived.
