Research on Visibility Enhancement and Real-Time Evaluation Methods for Virtual Assembly

Abstract

In current virtual assembly operations, the positioning range of motion capture equipment is limited, which results in users being only allowed to obtain spatial information within a single perspective. For existing virtual assembly systems, there is a lack of real-time visibility evaluation standards. To increase the spatial information that users can obtain within a limited field of view, this paper establishes a hybrid auxiliary interface that integrates the central projection perspective and the three-view perspective. Meanwhile, this paper establishes a visual field model that conforms to the physiological characteristics of the human eye, analyzes the influencing factors of visibility evaluation, and proposes a visibility evaluation model that integrates five major influencing factors. Based on the above work, this paper builds an assembly scene and carries out the assembly test of the torque converter in the virtual environment. The results prove that without reducing visibility, the auxiliary interface helps users obtain more information and improves the performance of the virtual assembly system.
