Abstract

The use of logarithmic amplifiers to amplify the acoustic signals detected by electret condenser microphone was discussed. The radiation mechanism and acoustic propagation of target acoustic signals were also presented. The acoustic wave transmission was considered as spherical wave and its source as a point acoustic source to analyze the acoustic propagation of signals. It was found that the amount of acoustic wave propagation decrease depended on frequency of acoustic wave, temperature and humidity of air.
