Abstract

For the imprecise antenna pointing condition which happens on satellite due to the mechanical insensitive and space environment, the paper establishes a satellite mobile communication system based on the geostationary orbit mobile radio interface (GMR-1) standard on OPNET platform, the system of the paper has a basic number of users and base stations to research the network interruption performance of satellite communication under imprecise antenna pointing condition. Its core idea is to complete the inaccuracy antenna pointing impact simulation through the interactive among mobile earth stations (MES) and gateway stations (GS) that have general adaptive properties on the satellite mobile system platform, in which process, the location condition and time condition methods are proposed to establish the mathematical model, and the interruption probability expressions are derived, then to analysis and simulate the network interruption indicators and statistical properties from the network side and to achieve the quantitative impact on all network users under imprecise antenna pointing condition. Theory analysis and simulation results show that: compared with the satellite that has a precise pointing antenna, the imprecise condition will reduce the network performance by 10-1 to 10-2.
