Research on dynamic construction of assembly relation of transmission device

Abstract

Currently, virtual assembly research only focuses on the assembly relations of parts which are defined in cad software, and it is unable to dynamically construct or change parts' assembly relations. Most of the research objects are simple geometry assembly, no complex structural assembly. To solve the problems efficiently, a dynamic assembly relation modeling method was proposed based on assembly feature. In the first part, the concepts of assembly feature and assembly feature plane were introduced. The assembly characteristic parameters and geometric elements were extracted from the typical assembly feature types which were defined based on the parts of the transmission. Then the parts information model was expressed from four levels. In the third part, the dynamic assembly relation modeling algorithm was proposed based on the assembly interference checking, the assembly feature matching, the assembly motion navigation and assembly inspection. The experiment proves that the method can realize the dynamic construction of assembly relation.
