Abstract

In order to solve the problem of information synchronization between two different hosts that control the transmission and reception of information, such as the synchronization between the acquisition of signals and experimental stimuli in brain wave experiments or fMRI experiments, the context of the haptic stimulation of the fMRI experiment, combined with psychtoolbox, A system has been developed that enables automatic synchronization of fMRI and haptic stimuli. The system is composed of signal acquisition and conversion output, wherein the signal acquisition chip is using MPU-51 real-time monitoring of input signal or data, the conversion output chip is the use of CH9328 to capture the signal or data simulation into a key output, so as to solve the fMRI scanning and haptic stimulation prompt synchronization. Through the test, the high dynamic response and very low delay of the system solve the problem of the operation of synchronous control of the external device between the two hosts. At the same time, the system can be very good according to different acquisition signals, according to the needs of the transfer output, so that the system can be used in a wide range of environments. The experimental results show that the system can perform synchronous operation well under the touch-stimulating fMRI experiment.
