Abstract

The characteristic burning rate (u)-pressure (p) curves of ultrahigh burning rate propellant (UHBRP) were analyzed theoretically. A technological method to reduce the apparent burning rate pressure exponent of UHBRP was used in preparation of UHBRP pellets. A large volume closed bomb was used to measure the burning rates of the UHBRP samples. The u-p curves of UHBRP of density gradient show the plateau combustion characteristics.
