Abstract

To adapt to the similarity of image signal processor in precision weapon systems, a common image signal processor was designed to meet the demand of versatility and adaptability, using a reconfigurable FPGA for signal processing and programmable C6x DSP for date processing. Data stream path and sytstem architecture are optimized to make the DSP getting image date at speed of 400 MB/s without delay time. In system programming (ISP) circuit for FPGA and DSP was used to change the FPGA's function quickly and easily. The reconfigurable common image signal processor have good versatility and adaptability and it has been applied to infrared weak and small target video tracker successfully.
