Abstract

Aim. By using the probability theory', the, theoretical design basis was established for improving the performance of vane absorber. Methods By. means of probability design, the immediate relationships between key sizes or their tolerances, and the distribution of the rated output damping value of vane absorber were found, the rules of tolerance distribution were calculated also. Results On the basis of. not changing the expenditure of products, the stability of rated output damping value for vane absorber is enhanced remarkably after the design has been improved. -Conclusion. The method of probability design can associate the structural parameters of products with its intrinsic quality and percentage of pass. It is an advanced design method to synthetically design products from the point of view of the performance cost ratio of products.
