Abstract
Injectable hydrogels have been developed for biomedical applications, such as surgical reconstruction, controlled drug release and cell encapsulation. With respect to this new research direction in biomedical materials, recent progress in injectable hydrogels and their synthetic methodologies and applications are summarized. Finally, the development prospects of injectable hydrogels are also presented.
