Abstract

Polarization diversity technique is absorbed in most of the polarization measurement systems. New requirements are proposed for the antennas and feeding systems in order to radiate and receive two or even more types of polarization waves. The common working modes for the latest polarization measurement systems are summarized in this paper. A Ku band dual polarization (horizontal linear polarization and vertical linear polarization) microstrip array antenna is introduced. Polarization synthesizing method and application system are proposed based on this antenna. The simulation results indicate that with correct configuration the antenna can be used in all the common polarization measurement systems.
