Abstract
A polar format tomographic method employed for far-field radar cross-section (RCS) extraction is presented. The image processing and far-field RCS extraction are both performed by the polar format tomographic method. Numerical results demonstrate an improvement of the accuracy and robustness of the extracted far-field RCS in comparison to the method with tomographic Cartesian image processing.
