Abstract
The influence of various parameters including elements number, turbulence model and the reference system was discussed to accurately predict the performance and load of the horizontal axis tidal turbine based on the viscous CFD theory. The accuracy of calculation results was verified by the result comparison of the numerical simulation and model experiments. In addition, the error of the calculation was analyzed, and parameter setting, meshing principle and calculation model for getting more accurate results were proposed.
