Abstract
Tip leakage flow in a compressor which designed by use of Computer Aided Design System was investigated by numerical method, for different tip leakage at design flow conditions. Second flow vector in the different chord and limit stream line at case surface was predicted. The computed conclusion show that the magnitude of tip clearance has close relationship with the intension of tip leakage flow. Intention of tip leakage would be weakened by interaction between passage vortex and leakage vortex which generated by proper tip clearance, and the intension will improve the flow condition as well.
