Abstract

A kind of frequency measurement technique which adopts a new method of adaptive and equalprecision is introduced. By comparison with traditional measurements, this measurement solves the equalprecision problem on account of the existence of count error by ±1 successfully. Adopting adaptive subparagraph-installed optimal time-limit gate, it eliminates deficiency-caused by the delay of the predetermined gate, simplifies circuit structure, and achieves the purpose of broad scope and high-precision measurement. Microcomputer is applied to design software and hardware system of this frequency measurement. The actual experimental data show that the frequency arranging from 0. 01 Hz to 500 kHz can be measured exactly and measurement accuracy is above 0. 001 Hz.
