Abstract

A new head mounted display (HMD) system with high depth-performance is proposed for virtual reality. To realize high depth-performance for every observer, we experimentally measure the individual difference on disparity which generates stereoscopic views. Basing on the experimental results, we design a disparity adjustment panel to tune the individual difference of disparity. It is experimentally proven that the proposed HMD system can easily and quickly make stereoscopic view for every observer.
