Abstract
A Near-Infrared color imaging system using filter wheel is proposed and established. First, the large array CMOS is chosen as the imaging sensor with the spectral response ranges from 0.4μm to 1.0μm. Second, the filter wheel is designed. Third, the motor is chosen based on the filter wheel's weight and the required speed. Fourth, the synchronous apparatus with a coupler is designed. Finally, the image is fused on the basis of Gray World Theory. A series of experiments are done both indoors and outdoors. It shows that this system colorizes the near-infrared image and also it is able to intensify the night image.
