Abstract

The exact model of an antenna array with a dielectric radome is established using the surface integral equations (SIE) and the method of moments (MoM). The proper preconditioning techniques (PT) and the fast multipole method are employed, which obviously improves the property of the MoM matrix equation, reduces the memory occupation and accelerate the iteration convergence of the conjugate gradient (CG) method. Several antenna arrays with dielectric radomes are numerically simulated, and their radiation characteristics are analyzed. Numerical results showed that the permittivity, size, shape and other factors of radome have great influences on the radiation characteristics of antenna array.
