Abstract

Distributed array radar can provide unique advantages for mainlobe jamming suppression based on the characteristics of large aperture, wide frequency band and high resolution. However, traditional spatial cancellation method cannot provide desirable performance as the large amount of computation and the degree of freedom cannot be fully utilized in the distributed radar. Therefore, a jamming cancellation method based on beamspace orthogonal cancellation is proposed in this paper. In the proposed method, the beams pointing to each jamming direction and orthogonal to the target direction are firstly formed by using the roughly-estimated jamming direction. Then, each jamming cancellation beam and the target direction beam are used to cancel jamming based on MMSE criterion. The effectiveness of the algorithm is verified by the simulation of non-uniform distributed array.
