Machine side DC-port impedance modeling and characteristic analysis of PMSG wind turbines

Abstract

Due to the large single-unit capacity, high power generation efficiency, good control performance and high reliability, permanent magnet synchronous generators (PMSG) account for a higher proportion in offshore wind farms. The power collection system for offshore PMSG wind farms consist of AC and DC strategies. In the DC collection system, the DC-port impedance model of PMSG machine-side model has not been carried out. This paper builds the sequence impedance model of PMSG machine-side model on the DC-port, and verifies the proposed model by the point-by-point simulation measurement. The proposed modular modeling of the machine-side model facilitates the construction of different offshore wind farm DC collection and delivery systems impedance model.
