Abstract

Aiming at the defects in the existing high-resolution Bayer image compression system, a real-time compression and decompression system based on the hardware architecture of ADV212+FPGA + W5300 is proposed. This system is composed of an image compression board, which receives the real-time image stream from the Camera Link interface and transmits the compressed stream to the host computer through the Ethernet, and a decoding software which receives and decompresses the stream for display. The experiments testify that this system has features in high efficiency, high compression ratio and friendly software interface.
