Abstract

Stiffened plate features include the strength of stiffener and the place of stiffener. In order to investigate the influence of the stiffened plate features on the underwater contact explosion effects, the intensity factor Cj and the distance factor Ck were defined to describe the single stiffener. The numerical simulation models were established with LS-DYNA for combination of 3 intensity factors and 4 distance factors. The crevasse radius is an important parameter to describe the underwater contact explosion effects. The crevasse radius of plate with the same explosion was compared with the radius of 12 numerical simulation models. The result shows that the stiffened plate features have influence on the underwater contact explosion effects. A modified analytical expression of crevasse radius of single stiffened plate was obtained based on the analytical expression of plate underwater contact explosion.
