Abstract

Scanning systems are widely used in radar, antenna, spatial pointing actuator, and so on. The key part for a scanning system is the servo machine system. The traditional scanning system generally adopts a rotary motor and a gear box to realize the low-speed limited angular movement. Such a scheme not only occupies big space, but also brings the transmission error caused by gear clearance. In order to meet these requirements of high positioning accuracy and high response performance, a kind of arc-linear permanent-magnet synchronous machine (AL-PMSM) for direct-drive scanning system is proposed, as shown in Fig.1.
