Abstract

This study introduces the fuzzy sequential circuit and its learning algorithm. The circuit is composed of the weight-added fuzzy flip-flops constructed by weight-added AND/OR elements. The modelling process of the fuzzy sequential circuit is illustrated using a part of a small economic model wherein each economical variable corresponds to the weight-added fuzzy flip-flop identically, and the relationships of cause and effect are realized by the ordinary AND/OR elements. These cause and effect defines the topology of fuzzy sequential circuit. Finally, the learning algorithm is used to estimate the weight parameters of each weight-added fuzzy flip-flop.
