Abstract

An approach to measure the flame temperature distribution of solid propellants was described. The scanning system is made up of a 30-facet mirror drum, the motor, and the rotation speed controller. The spectral diagnostic system includes the optical scanning system by which the temperature distribution could be measured. It was found that the temperature in the high-temperature area is unstable because of the turbulence of the flame.
