Abstract
A fast Fourier transform (FFT) and fractional Fourier transform (FRFT)-based interference suppression scheme for wideband nonstationary interference is proposed in direct sequence spread spectrum communication. The interference parameters are coarsely estimated by FFT and are accurately estimated by FRFT. The nonstationary interference can be synthesized from received signals by least-squares methods. The synthesized interference is subtracted from the received signals in the time domain and the signal-to-interference ratio is increased on the input of the correlator. Compared with the masking interference excision method, the scheme is more stable on bit error rate (BER) performance and simple on the computational complexity.
