Abstract
In this letter, an enhanced emitter localization method is proposed based on partial knowledge of signal waveforms. Multiple observation stations are deployed to intercept the radiated continuous phase modulation (CPM) signal from a stationary communication emitter. The inherent integral properties of CPM signal are exploited to separate the demodulated data symbols explicitly as partial prior information. Combined with direct localization scheme, the partial prior information is then incorporated into the localization procedure, which potentially enhances the emitter location accuracy. Simulation results validate the efficiency of the proposed method.
