Abstract
Mobile ad hoc network (MANET) has attracted a lot of research attention. In the analysis of the mobile ad hoc network simulation, the choice of the node mobility model is very important. In military battlefield, group mobility occurs frequently and nodes in group usually locate in an elliptic region. Therefore, we propose a new group mobility model-Ellipse Group Mobility (EGM) model. And we compared the performance of EGM with Reference Point Group Mobility (RPGM) model. Simulation results show that the EGM is more suitable for tactical MANET.
