Abstract

The electromagnetic coupling problem, which is created by stator machine (SM) and double-rotor machine (DRM) of Compound-Structure Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Machine (CS-PMSM), has a bad influence on CS-PMSM performance. In order to solve this problem, a 100kW Radial-Radial flux CS-PMSM used for HEVs is designed, and the electromagnetic coupling is researched when CS-PMSM works in stable conditions. As a conclusion, the electromagnetic coupling between inner and outer windings can be ignored when CS-PMSM works in stable condition. The conclusion is helpful to the aspect of motor design and mathematical model simplification.
