Eigen-beamforming technique for V-BLAST systems

Abstract

The combination of eigen-beamforming with V-BLAST system is discussed. A kind of algorithm of power allocation at V-BLAST transmitters is proposed. Such algorithm is based on the principle of minimizing transmitting errors when the channel is independent-identically distributed. At the same time, a suitable detecting algorithm is designed for the system. Through the simulation and analysis, when the transmitter has known part of the channel state information, the power allocation algorithm and ordering detecting algorithm introduced can obviously improve the performance of V-BLAST systems.
