Abstract

Wind tunnel experiments were conducted to study the effect of diamond back wing geometric parameters to its aerodynamic characteristics. A series of wind tunnel experiment models with various diamond back wings were designed with a modularized method. Experimental results indicate that the lift and the lift-drag ratio of the configuration with higher front-wing-strip and lower rear-wing-strip are higher than the configuration with lower front-wing-strip and higher rear-wing-strip. The space between the front-wing-strip and the rear-wing-strip has less influence to the aerodynamic characteristics of the diamond back wing.
