Abstract

In this paper, a new detection method for range spread target with coherent integration is proposed. In this method, the Keystone transform is first applied to correct range migration of the target. Then coherent integration is employed to accomplish integration in time domain. Finally, range spread target detection is conducted in the Range-Doppler domain. The proposed detection method is generalized from current range spread target detectors such as the integrator, the SSDGLRT detector and the GLRT-DT detector. It can dramatically increase the detection signal-noise ratio (SNR) of those detectors and improve their detection performance.
