Abstract

Rail is an important part of the railway track, it directly bears the train loads and interacts with the wheels. Its condition firstly affects the safety and transportation efficiency of train operation. In addition, rail is the most expensive part of the railway track, and the dosage is very large, China's rail production can't meet the need. The annual investment and maintenance costs are also enormous. However, the deformation, rupture and other defects of rails are all related to the stresses in the rail. This article mainly introduces a technology to detect and control the welding residual stress in railway, completes the relevant tensile experiment, testing experiments and controlling experiments, analyses the results and the function of regulation. Eventually, an effective way to detect and reduce the residual stress of rail is found.
