abstract = "Underwater acoustic network nodes are widely used in underwater sensor networks. In this paper, an underwater acoustic network nodes that works at the frequency between 10 kHz and 15 kHz is designed. This system can operate in two modulation methods, MFSK and QPSK, which have a data rate of 288 bps and 4.2 kbps respectively. Two series of experiments were conducted in different seasons to verify the performance of the system. The experiments results showed the system had a good performance of real-time acoustic communication at a distance up to 6 km.",
