Abstract

A 3-bit dual linearly polarized transmit-array antenna at W-band is designed in this paper. The unit cells are designed based on bandpass characteristics. By using such unit cells for an array of 241 unit cells, a high gain array of 27.4dBi is realized. The 3dB beamwidth of the antenna is 6.9 degree. The gain width of the antenna is more than 20GHz. The unit cells are fully symmetric, which assure good characteristics on polarization independence.
